Spring 2010 Edition
We have had a winter with lot of snow and we are excited about some signs of spring.
We are now also partnered with EMU to offer a PMP Preparation and MSProject Class in the winter term. This is an approved class under the 'No Workers Left Behind' Program - so if you know somebody between jobs, please let them know that they could qualify to get government funding for this class.
Following are the 2010-2011 Board Members: President - Ed Pelic, PMP Past President - Nic Jain, PMP VP of Programs - Pam Hughes, PMP VP of Finance - Lamont Manley, PMP VP of Membership - Bill Mahoney, PMP VP of Communications - Jeff Buckthorpe, PMP VP of Administration - Kevin O'Brien, PMP VP of Training - Craig M. Karagitz, PMP, MSEM
The board is always looking for new ways to provide as much value to the membership as possible, through interesting chapter meetings, affordable PDU opportunities and the general interactive nature of our chapter. If you have any suggestions on how we could improve our value to you, the members, please contact me, or any of the board members for that matter.
Don’t forget, there are plenty of opportunities to earn inexpensive PDUs, all it requires is a little time on your part. See any of the VPs about being on committees or helping with some of the extracurricular activities to earn those valuable PDUs. Also, if you are a Project Manager by trade, you can declare up to 15 PDU’s per cycle (5 per year) for professional experience.
